Attention, insufferably happy people of Tetha!

The Tetha Military Police would like to announce that over the past couple months, crime rates have dropped by a whopping 70%!

In unrelated news, Tetha's local Primary Village is suffering from overcrowding.

That is all~!

Oh, come now. It's really not quite so bad so long as you behave yourself!

Those poor digimon.

Y'know, I'm not so sure I believe that...

You say that, but how many were murderers or worse themselves?

I have documentation, even.

How quick we are to jump to assumptions~

Everyone is so quick to distrust.

Everyone deserves a second chance, even if they were bad.

But... but... you just talked about the primary village being FULL! In the same topic as a crime reduction!

You really think we'll believe that's unrelated???

Just thinking, that's all...

Such naive ideals are why horrible things happen, a lot of times.

On the one hand, sure. There are shining examples you could probably point to.

But benefit of the doubt, and lack of swift action, are how children are lost.

Or eaten.

Is it really?

Ah, yes, I suppose I did do that, didn't I?

How careless~

From: [identity profile] not-an-old-dog.livejournal.com
Don't you even DARE joke about that! I don't care what Ravemon said, you are UNFIT to be an officer if you even THINK what happened to that girl can be said in a context like that!

And another thing, Xellos, how many of those Digimon were innocents? How many of them were reverted because of that "swift action"?

Date: 2009-06-07 04:25 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] digitalhimitsu.livejournal.com
Who is joking, my dear, canine friend?

It is a simple matter of logic.

Poor Miss Yoshino Daimon was with child, and she trusted one Mister Hitoshi Hanamura. Benefit of the doubt. Second chance.

One ambush and a Bio-Hybridization later, and... well, if you've browsed the logs, I'm sure you know the tale well enough.

Barry the Chopper and Gluttony weren't taken care of, and murdered that poor girl, Miss Watson. Which, by all rights, is not necessarily anyone's fault at hand - no one very well had been able to pin them down before that act occurred. But, it serves as a fitting enough example.

If these things are left roam... well, who KNOWS what could happen?

There is no joke, Mister Cruger. None at all.

That said, if you honestly believe there are such thing as people who are truly innocent... I find that rather quaint.

Keep talking bozo, and I'll book you for disgracing a Tetha City official and being a nuisance to the state.

If your swift action is killing off people without giving them a chance to right their wrongs, then you're losing more then you're saving. A life is still a life.

Well, then, they should have thought of that before they committed those wrongs, shouldn't they? ^_^

I have browsed the logs. In case you haven't realized, Mister Xellos, both events happened in Neon. Miles away from Tetha.

Even still, you should be on the lookout for people like them. What you're doing instead is instilling fear and distrust into those you're sworn to protect.

I said it before and I'll say it again, especially to you: the police here are a joke.

Ah, my dear boy, you have no idea.

I believe there is something called free speech here. I am merely voicing my opinion.

Whether in Neon or Tetha, it doesn't matter that much. They're just borders; the nature of sentient beings is still the same.

Is that what we're doing, Mister Cruger? Hm.

Thank you so much for informing me of such~

Oh, really, please, by all means. Carry on.

You assume far far too much about the law.

We ARE the law.

I don't assume. I KNOW.

I am Anubis Cruger, Commander of Space Patrol Delta, Earth Division. I've protected my world for over ten years, upholding the law and to see a place like this make such a mockery of the law makes me ASHAMED to even have my badge with me!

You're confusing the definition of law with your own misguided concept of morality.

Still too happy for my tastes, all the same.

So, that's your goal? To beat us all down until we're too depressed to give a crap about what we were brought here to do?

Dear child, if you or anyone could deduce my goal, I would be most impressed.

Not that I'm going to be telling, besides the fact that... well, while you being depressed would be nice, you're off the mark.
